What makes a good photo for a house portrait

A personalized oil painting is one of the best gifts you can give to yourself or your loved ones.

I put my heart and soul into every artwork I paint, and I will do my best to create a premium oil painting that will preserve its quality and the sentimental value it holds.

You will receive an original and unique artwork, created with high quality oil colours from St. Petersburg and premium linen canvas.

The painting will have my signature both on the front and on the back, and you also receive a Certificate of Authenticity.

What should the photo look like

• Take a landscape picture of the house during the day, when the light is brighter
• Use a smartphone or high-quality camera
• Please avoid using any filters. This will help me to understand the right impression and light
• Close garage doors, if there is any
• Remove any cars from the front of the house and/or the driveway
• Avoid any large shadows on the house
• Tidy up the front yard
• Hide rubbish and trash cans
• The best photos are taken front-on to the house from either the end of the driveway or street

Please note: Everything shown in the image you upload will be illustrated in your final oil house portrait. If you want me not to paint a particular item, that cannot be moved - such as trash cans or water hoses - please let me know when you place the order (write a note or contact me by email).

Basically, I will follow the picture to create an impressionist oil painting version of it.

• Image taken during the day, with good lighting
• There are no cars in the picture
• Clean and tidy front yard
• Garage doors are closed

The painting is NOT an exact copy of the photo, but an artistic, impressionist interpretation of it.

For now, I do custom oil paintings at 40 on 50 cm / 16 on 20 inches. These will be the dimensions of your painting.

! Please know that the oil painting takes 3 to 4 weeks to be dry enough so that it can be shipped safely, adding up to 14 days for delivery, if the delivery address is outside the UK.

Personalized paintings cannot be exchanged or returned, but please let me know if there is something wrong with your painting. I will be happy to help!
