Sky Landscape Artist of the Year 2021 - My Experience As A Wild Card Artist

This summer I had the amazing opportunity to be invited as a Wild Card artist at Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year.The Heat took place in Whitstable Harbour, Kent, on June 16. It really was a hot session - we painted for about 6 hours in temperatures over 28°C, with the sun burning in the clear blue sky. Still, I enjoyed every second of it!The day started early in the morning. Painting "Amsterdam in Mid-September"

I decided to paint the vibrant and beautiful city of Amsterdam somewhere in the middle of September. Autumn is both a melancholic and beautiful time of the year, and I think we need to cherish it more.  Here is a timelapse of the entire process:  I have mainly used warm tones to emphasize the warm and comforting feeling that autumn brings to us. The colors of the buildings also resemble the colors of autumn leaves, as they turn golden, red, and brown.
